As the existing outer ring road will not be adequate for the floating traffic in future, the government has decided to construct the regional ring road, it said. The regional ring road would be laid at a stretch of 338 kms, covering Sangareddy-Gajwel-Choutuppal, Mal-Kadthal and Shadnagar–Chevella-Kandi (on the outskirts of Hyderabad), it said.
“The width of the road will be 500 ft. The proposed regional ring road should surpass the existing Mumbai-Pune and Ahmedabad-Vadodara express highways. The junction roads connecting Vijayawada, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Nagpur, are to be developed,” it said.
